Subgrow vs ReddGrow

How they work, what a month costs on each, the risk to your accounts, and who should pick which. Every fact about ReddGrow links to the page we read it on.

The short answer

Same price, same promise, opposite method. ReddGrow puts your brand into threads AI already quotes, mostly in other people's subreddits, and covers LinkedIn, YouTube and your blog too. Subgrow writes the threads, in a subreddit your brand owns, one a day.

Pick ReddGrow if you want one tool for several channels and a daily view of what AI answers say about you. Pick Subgrow if you want threads that belong to you and a clear count of what $99 buys.

What ReddGrow does

ReddGrow's homepage opens with the problem it sells against: buyers ask AI assistants what to buy, and the assistants name a few brands from the sources they read. Its answer is a set of agents. One finds the Reddit threads AI assistants cite most, ranks them by how many engines pull from each, drafts a comment that names your brand, and posts it through ReddGrow's Chrome extension, then checks that the comment went live. Others write LinkedIn articles, plan YouTube videos, and draft pages for your site. Around all of it sits a tracker that asks your buyers' questions in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI, Grok and Copilot every day and shows who gets named.

So ReddGrow is two products in one: an AI-visibility dashboard, and a set of writers that go where that dashboard says the answers come from. On Reddit, "where the answers come from" is usually someone else's thread in someone else's subreddit.

The real difference: commenting in their threads vs owning yours

Both products promise the same outcome, being named when AI answers a buyer's question. They go about it in opposite ways.

ReddGrow joins threads that already rank. A comment under a popular question can be quoted, but the thread belongs to whoever asked it, the top answer is usually someone else's, and the subreddit's moderators decide whether a brand mention stays. If the thread is two years old, a new comment starts at the bottom.

Subgrow writes the thread. We open a subreddit under your brand, and every day we post one full answer to a question your buyers type into Google, from your brand's own account, which moderates the subreddit. The question, the answer and the link are all yours, and no other subreddit's moderators can remove them. Before writing each post we read the Reddit thread Google already shows for that search, so ours answers it better.

The two can work side by side: a comment in a busy third-party thread and a full answer in your own subreddit reach different readers. But if you only pay for one, decide whether you want to rent space in other people's threads or build threads you own.

Pricing, and what a month buys

On its pricing page, ReddGrow sells one self-serve plan, Lite, at $99 a month or $79 a month billed yearly, with a 14-day trial and no charge the day you start. Everything is in it: tracking, all agents, the Chrome extension, an MCP server and unlimited seats. A custom done-for-you option is quoted.

Check the plan at checkout, because ReddGrow's own pages disagree. On the day we read them, its Redreach comparison page listed Starter, Growth and Pro plans at $99, $199 and $399. Several of its "vs" pages gave the trial as 7 days, not 14. Its documentation listed an Agency plan at $1,000 a month and extra Reddit accounts at $99 a month each, which doesn't square with the pricing page's line that posting goes through your own account.

Subgrow is $99 a month for 30 posts, one a day, with a 7-day trial. You see your first post before you give us a card, and we email you three days before the first charge.

Accounts and the risk of a ban

On the pricing page, ReddGrow's posting runs from your own Reddit account through its extension, "paced to safe limits" in its words. That keeps bought accounts out of it, but it means the account that collects any spam reports is yours. Reddit's rules don't forbid mentioning a product; they forbid spam, and moderators of each subreddit decide what counts as spam there.

Reddit has been raising the bar. In March 2026 it began asking accounts that look automated to prove a person is behind them, and said it removes about 100,000 accounts a day. In July it said its systems were catching about 25,000 spammy posts and comments a day.

Subgrow's risk is different, not zero. Posts go out from your brand's account into your own subreddit, so no third-party moderator can remove them, but Reddit's site-wide spam filter can still take one down. We don't buy upvotes or fake comments: Reddit bans vote manipulation, and it would put your subreddit at risk.

ReddGrow's headline is about ChatGPT, and its tracker counts it among six engines. Be careful with that one: in August 2026 the share of ChatGPT Search citations that pointed to Reddit fell from about 3.8% to about 0.5%, according to Promptwatch data, and nobody has explained why.

Google is a steadier bet. Reddit is still the fourth most visible domain in Google's US results, though off its October 2025 peak, and it is a leading source for Google's AI Overviews. That is where our proof comes from: Gemini and Google's AI answers.

Where ReddGrow is better

  • More than Reddit. It writes LinkedIn articles, plans YouTube videos and drafts pages for your blog. Subgrow does Reddit only.
  • It measures AI answers directly. ReddGrow runs your buyers' questions in six AI apps every day and shows which sources they quote. Subgrow doesn't sell an AI-answer tracker; it shows you visits in Google Analytics and views on Reddit.
  • Cheaper on a yearly plan, with a longer trial. $79 a month billed yearly beats our $99, and its trial is 14 days to our 7.
  • A done-for-you tier. If you want a team to run several brands, it quotes one. Subgrow has one plan.

How Subgrow works

You give us your website. We find your three closest competitors and the searches your buyers make on Google, and suggest a subreddit name. We open the subreddit with your brand's own Reddit account as its moderator; you never give us a password.

Then we post one answer a day, each written for one of those searches: a how-to, a comparison, a top-10 list or a question for the group. Every post is ready a week early, so you can read it, change it, or skip it. If you do nothing, it goes out on its day. Your blog comes too: your 25 newest articles go in first, then each new one.

Google can show a new post within hours. AI answers take a few weeks. Google Analytics shows the visits that come from the posts; we set up the tracking as we post.

What Subgrow isn't

So you can compare like with like: Subgrow is Reddit only. It doesn't send DMs, doesn't track your rank inside AI answers engine by engine, and posts once a day, not dozens of times. A new subreddit starts with few members; the posts are found through Google and Reddit search first, and the community grows from there. Reddit's spam filter can remove a post even in your own subreddit, and Reddit asks accounts whose posts mostly link to their own business to be careful how often they post (Reddit Help). That's why each post is a full answer that stands on its own, with a link to your site only where it helps.

Subgrow also lists threads elsewhere on Reddit where your buyers are talking, with a suggested reply. You can post it yourself, or hand it to a creator who uses your product and posts from their own account, marked as a paid partnership. We don't buy accounts or upvotes.

Results from our customers

Measured results from subreddits we run, named with each company's permission. The links go to the real subreddits and posts.

  • AppFollow19 Gemini answers

Three weeks after we started posting in r/AppFollow, Gemini answers picked the subreddit as their #1 source 19 times. The post it leaned on most was a comparison of ASO keyword tools, written for a search AppFollow's buyers make.

  • RecraftAbout 10× the views

Recraft's articles got about ten times more views as posts in r/howto_recraft than on Recraft's own blog. The blog is imported, so the subreddit started full rather than empty.

  • Cube23 AI quotes

Two posts in r/cubedev were quoted 23 times in AI search answers from August to October 2026, as measured by Peec AI: 19 times for the dbt integration post and 4 for the semantic layer one.

Which one to pick

Pick ReddGrow if

  • You want one tool for Reddit, LinkedIn, YouTube and your blog.
  • Seeing your rank in AI answers, engine by engine, matters more to you than owning the threads.
  • You're comfortable with comments going out from your own Reddit account through a browser extension.

Pick Subgrow if

  • You want the threads to be yours: the question, the answer and the link, in a subreddit your brand moderates.
  • You'd rather not put your personal Reddit account behind a stream of brand comments.
  • You want to know exactly what $99 buys: 30 posts, each one a search your buyers make, each one shown to you a week early.

Questions people ask

Is ReddGrow legit?
Yes, it's a real company with a named founder, Yahav Fuchs, and public customers on its homepage. He reports $1M a year in revenue eight months after founding; that's his figure, not an audited one. Read the pricing at checkout: on the day we checked, its own pages listed different plans and trial lengths.
Is ReddGrow cheaper than Subgrow?
On a yearly plan, yes: $79 a month against our $99. Month to month, both are $99. The difference is what the $99 buys. Subgrow's is 30 posts in your own subreddit; ReddGrow's pricing page lists tracking and agents without saying how many Reddit comments are included.
Does ReddGrow post from my Reddit account?
Its pricing page says Lite posts and comments from your own Reddit account through its Chrome extension. Its homepage also mentions warmed-up accounts, and its docs list extra Reddit accounts at $99 a month, so ask which applies to your plan.
Can I use ReddGrow and Subgrow together?
Yes, they don't overlap much. ReddGrow comments in threads that already rank and covers LinkedIn and YouTube; Subgrow builds threads you own in your subreddit. Some teams will want both.
Does either one guarantee that AI will cite me?
No, and you should be wary of anyone who does. What we can show is what happened for customers: Gemini answers picked r/AppFollow as their #1 source 19 times three weeks after we started.
Do I need a subreddit already?
Not for Subgrow. We suggest a name from your website and open it, with your brand's own Reddit account as moderator. ReddGrow works in existing subreddits, so it doesn't need one.
Why own a subreddit instead of commenting in big ones?
A comment sits under someone else's question, in a community whose moderators decide whether it stays. A post in your own subreddit is the whole thread, question and answer, and it can become the Reddit result Google shows for that search.
Does AI search really quote Reddit?
Google does: Reddit is a leading source for Google's AI Overviews (Profound), and Gemini picked r/AppFollow as its #1 source 19 times three weeks after we started. ChatGPT is a different story: its Search cited Reddit far less after August 2026 (Promptwatch data).
What does Subgrow cost?
$99 a month after a 7-day free trial, everything included. You see your first post before you give a card, and we email you three days before the first charge.
