Why people look beyond ReplyGuy
ReplyGuy posts AI replies that mention your product, on Reddit from accounts it buys. People look for alternatives after reading about banned accounts, when they want to post as themselves, or when they'd rather build something their brand can stand behind.
These are the tools worth comparing, with prices as each site stated them on the day we checked.
ReplyGuy itself: ReplyGuy finds conversations on Reddit, X and other sites where your product fits and posts AI-written replies that mention it; on Reddit it posts from accounts it buys. See our full Subgrow vs ReplyGuy comparison for the detail.

What to look for
- Whose account posts. Bought, vendor-owned, your own, or your brand's. Ask what happens to your mentions if the account is banned.
- Disclosure. Does the account say who it works for? Reddit communities are quick to spot an undisclosed recommendation.
- Platforms. If X matters as much as Reddit, choose a tool that covers both.

- Is there a free ReplyGuy alternative?

- Who owns ReplyGuy now?
- Its creator, Alexandr Belogubov, sold it in October 2024, according to Starter Story. The site doesn't name the current owner.
- Can ReplyGuy get my brand banned on Reddit?
- Your personal account isn't involved on Reddit, since it uses bought accounts. But the replies name your product, and when Reddit treats an account as spam its comments can be removed with it. Subreddit moderators can also ban links to your site.
